This is so evocative, Laura. I'm sitting here in the gathering evening dark, with the wind whipping around my windows, and wishing a real storm would settle on us so I could step out into it and feel everything you describe. Just beautiful.
Thank you so much for reading it Miranda! It must be at least six months since the last storm and this one did not disappoint, it was over an hour of near constant thunder and lightning.
Oh I adore a storm... there is something so powerful... I always feel a little ‘shook’ inside... like the energy is fizzing in my body for a day or so after so really have to ground myself, but it always brings a sense of renewal after, and often relief. Beautifully expressed! Xx
Thank you for reading and for this beautiful reflection Lauren ❤️
I definitely felt that fizzing for a day or two after this one! It shook things up in a way that felt so needed, cleared a sense of stagnation that had been with me for a while.
This is beautifully vulnerable. I love the line "How at once it matters more than anything and not at all". There have been some small decisions I've had to make this week that felt exactly that way. It feels good to see it reflected in words.
Sometimes the smallest decisions are the ones that facilitate the most seismic shifts in our lives. I’m glad you found a little piece of your own experience here ♥️
Thanks for sharing Laura, the storms have been so vibrant haven’t they? Then we’ve had wind and rain, which is whipping up energies and throwing things about. This is basically how I feel! I think things needed a good clearing and we’ll see what surfaces when it all settles. 🙏💫
Thank you for reading it Kaitlyn, and for sharing such a beautiful image. There’s nothing better than letting the rain wash it all away ✨
I love the vibrancy after a storm too, it’s almost as though the world has been made new. This one seems to have brought Autumn along with it which I am so grateful for.
Thank you for this. Yesterday, I stood outside while it rained and let it pour over me. Eyes closed, and head towards the sky, feeling so much of what you shared here. I too feel the same about storms. And I always feel, how much more vibrant life looks afterwards. 🤍🥲

I’m feeling this deeply too! Very much looking forward to finding out what’s left when it’s over but kind of okay with the chaos of it all right now ✨

I love to do that in rainstorms too. Thunderstorms I beat a retreat inside. That magic is too powerful for me!
