Oh Laura I needed to read this today - thank you for sharing. There is so much to discover here, and I am so moved by it. I am in the thick of trying to untangle my roots from the roots of my ex and some days it's challenging to even know what's mine, and what's not. The connections you've drawn between human relationships and the shifting growth of the forest fungi is so intriguing and potent. Thank you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and respond Raine, I’m really glad you found some familiarity in it.

It really is a challenging task to try and disentangle ourselves from someone we have loved, especially so when it’s the father of our children. I suppose our roots will always be intertwined on that level...

Thank you Lieke, these posts don’t seem to get much engagement so it really means a lot that this resonated with you. I wrote these words at a moment in time when I felt very closely intertwined with nature, revisiting them has truly been a tonic for the soul.
