This is beautiful Laura, thank you for sharing your heart here. I am looking forward to a new season as I feel like this current one has knocked me off my feet a bit and I've been trying to catch my breath ever since it started. I love when you said, "Choosing to commit to slow living does not mean that I won’t lose myself in a period of chaos from time to time." I relate to this completely, and am climbing out of the lost self I've been in for this short period, remembering how important slow living is to my life.
Thank you for sharing your reflections here Hunter, it’s wonderful to connect again. Wishing you a slower, more gentle and restful season ahead. It’s so very necessary after a fast paced period isn’t it?!
I’m actually about to enter into a busier season myself after quite a lengthy quiet one. I’m hoping to maintain a sense of spaciousness where I can but I’m also really looking forward to the shake up that comes at the start of something new.
Thank you for your honest writing. It sounds like you've planted deep seeds this year, Laura. I will love reading about what you'll harvest in the months ahead! 🌾 Today, I'm especially grateful for a couple of vintage, linen-covered art books that I found at my local library's fundraising sale. These gorgeous volumes are already starting to inspire me in new directions. I'm also getting ready to take a bookbinding class-- a craft I've always wanted to learn. I hope you have a peaceful and relaxing weekend!
Thank you for taking the time to read Ann, I truly appreciate you being here! It’s definitely been a year of quiet tending for me so far.
Those art books sound very special, as does the bookbinding class. It sounds like a craft that you’ll be pouring a great deal of love and patience into. I hope you’re having a beautiful Sunday ✨
I deeply relate to the slow and steady becoming that integrates us INTO a learning. I have been DEEP in alchemizing this month - Calendula as my plant guide, surprising me at every turn with her catalyzing requests for more honesty, more responsibility, more Me. Its been expansive and contractive, generative and receptive, harmonious and chaotic. Immense waves of Gracious Gratitude for the way Nature Spirits arrive to support me, for my sweetheart, for my body, for the simple ease that my heart knows.
I loved reading your reflections here, especially the part about all of the paradoxes that we embody when we’re deepening into life’s teachings. And I’m feeling such a strong sense of resonance with your appreciation for the spirit of nature ✨
